I truly love nature, but hiking as a blind person in Lebanon? I’ve never thought it would be possible. But thanks to EQUAL NGO and LMT Lebanon.

From the first step, the trail opens up in ways I can hear and feel. I truly enjoy the crunch of soil under my shoes, the whisper of the wind, the laughter of fellow hikers; it’s incredible how every sound guides my way!

It’s worth mentioning that on the trail, we meet scouts and young people from across Lebanon. At first, they seem curious about how we navigate daily life. By the end, their questions turn into connection and laughter.

This is not just a hike. It is a reminder that accessibility is not only about removing barriers; rather, it’s about creating possibilities. Feeling the earth beneath my feet and being guided by trust makes me realize how powerful inclusion is when people make it real.

I believe this is just the beginning. With initiatives like this, Lebanon’s amazing mountains and adventurous opportunities belong to everyone.
